The top 10 Relief Pitchers in Habla

We have reached the end of our in depth look at the best players at eash position in Habla. We now look at the Top 10 Relief Pitchers. Many a playoff series has been won (and lost) due to a good bullpen. These specialists are asked to get some of the toughest outs of the game. Here are the Top 10 Relief Pitchers.

1. Roy Face LA

With a 2.60 career ERA and very solid save and hold numbers, Face is the cream of the Crop among relievers in Habla.

2. Raphael Soriano HOU

Soriano has a fantastic career of being one of the best in the game. An ERA just a hair over 3.00 and triple digits in saves and holds show his value.

3. Scott Williamson CIN

Perhaps Williamson's most impressive stat is that opponents hit only .209 against him. It is very hard to do any damage late in the game at that rate.

4. Ken Holloway BAL

Holloway's CB/CU combo has proven to be very valuabe at fanning hitters in years past.

5. Larry Sherry CIN

Sherry's great sinker makes a late game rally very tough. His .223 OAVG proves that well enough.

6. Rafael Betancourt HOU

A classic hard throwing reliever, Betancourt has had 3 season with an ERA below 3.00.

7. David Riske MIL

A reliever of the year several times and a candidate several others, Riske has been a great late innings option for the Brewers.

8. Dan Wheeler PHI

Wheeler is your standard, solid reliever. He has the command of 2 pitches and uses them well.

9. Eric Gagne MIN

Certainly the guy with the most talent on the list and one of the hardest throwers in the game, it will be interesting to see if Gagne can become one of the few great closers in Habla one day.

10. Ryan Duren TEX

Last years Fireman of the Year, Duren has been a consistent help for the Rangers in the pen.

Honorable Mention: Lee Tunnell

What no Tom Martin?

lol His EN doesnt allow him to pitch more than 2 outs an outing. So he pitches in 70 games but only has 30innings pitched. But still worth noting.

Yeah, I had Martin on my long list, but his ERA (4.57) and his save and hold numbers were not good enough to get him in the top 10. He is worth a mention here though; you are right. Helps that he is a lefty too.

The Strikeout's per 9 innings are worth noting too :)

personally I don't think there are enough relievers in the league. Many teams just turn their starters into relievers.

A good way to do that is to drop his EN so he can be a pure reliever, especially if he has room to grow in his pitches. The extra points can come in handy.
